One material, many possibilities

Our workshop specializes in working with wood veneer — thin slices of natural wood, cut from a log.

Depending on how the wood is cut, the same piece of timber can reveal very different patterns and grain.

Veneers are available in their natural form or dyed in different colours, and can be used in various ways. They can be applied to a surface to give it the appearance and character of real wood, layered and pressed together to create plywood, or combined piece by piece to form flat compositions (marquetry).

At Multipraktik, we are constantly experimenting with the possibilities of wood veneer — exploring its colours, patterns, layers and structures to create products for furniture, interiors and beyond.

Below you can explore our products. Have an idea of your own? We are happy to develop custom-made pieces and collaborations.
